The National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS) was established early in 2011 following the enactment of the enabling legislation. NILS is designed to be a centre of excellence providing technical support to the work of the National Assembly through research and publications on democratic governance, and legislative practice and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in carrying out surveys, collection and analysis of data relating to socio-political problems
Any other relevant task as may be directed by superior officers
Qualifications and Requirements
An honors Bachelor’s degree obtained at first class or second class (upper division) and a master’s degree in disciplines such as Economics, Law, Political Science and other approved by Management
