Position: Contract Engineer (RFQ 5120)
Main Responsibilities:
Manage all contractual aspects of JV Onshore Projects
Manage the contract engineers of each package and ensure continuity of Contract management as per management decisions.
Advise management of any contractual risks and claims
Support other disciplines of Project Controls
Main Activities:
To finalize, tender documents, participate in prequalification of tenderers, deal with queries during the bid phase, perform bid evaluation and participate in negotiations. Preparation of final contract documents.
To establish or ensure the establishment and control of the technical contracts,
To establish the contractual procedures, in cooperation with the technical teams and in compliance with Company system of reference, the local constraints, and the eventual “synergy” action plans defined by Company head office,
To ensure the application and respect of the procedures,
To support contract engineers in the management of complex or sensitive contracts issues on EPC contracts
To intervene in the settlement of claims by proposing strategies and actions and by participating to the negotiations,
To coordinate the relations with the suppliers in liaison with the Requester,
To implement the company’s pricing and contracting policies including the review and approval of business actions.
To approve contracts, offers and other agreement to an agreed level.
Ability to understand the basic technical and project management issues.
Ability to participate in and influence commercial decision making
Consolidate all contracts and purchasing information based on SAP (EPSCC, technical assistance…) for analysis and reporting, weekly and monthly, monitor the completion dates and renewal dates, and reports it during Project meetings,
To participate to complex negotiations, during the tender of new contracts.
Others Activities
Attend Project meetings and training as and when require,
Ensure follow up of custom clearance contractual aspects and renewal of specific permit or exemption of taxes and/or custom duties in cooperation with Company dedicated customs agent
Organise and manage preparation in SAP of all Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders in relation with Cost Control Engineers, and follow-up until final approval
Elaborate, update and revise all contracting and purchasing procedures for the Project,
Liaise and work in close cooperation with HQ for maintaining contract terms and conditions up-to-date and for 2/2
requiring spot assistance for specific issues,
Liaise with Company central services for all technical assistance contracts in order to maintain consistency of working scheme condition.
Competences
Law degree or similar degree with a strong contracts training and experience
Ability to plan, execute and deliver high complex contracts
Team player and respected leader with ability to manage diverse teams and resources
Ability to work in autonomy in a difficult environment and with regular pressure to achieve results
Used to work in a multi-disciplines team.
Strong client and supplier relationship management and business development skills, able to negotiate mutually beneficial terms
Results focused problem solver, able to prioritize and make decisions appropriately
Good technical knowledge engineering and construction, and preferably oil and gas facilities
